Through the CELS Program Development Training Series, CELS scientists, engineers and researchers develop the tools and knowledge to innovate and champion leading science and new funding programs. Monthly sessions introduce participants to the principals of program development, dive into the mechanics of successful proposal development and outline upcoming strategic opportunities and directions.
The second session of Introduction to Funding Opportunities is Tuesday, June 6, 2017, from 11 a.m. to noon in Bldg. 240, Room 1406-07.
This month’s session, “Submitting Successful Proposals,” focuses on:
- Understanding the requirements
- Writing to what is really being asked
- Organizing, drafting and leading proposals
- Developing scientific and technical project plans
Argonne Distinguished Fellow Andrzej Joachimiak (BIO) and Senior Physicist and Group Leader Ken Kemner (BIO) will share their insight and expertise on submitting successful proposals.
Refreshments will be served, and time will be allotted for Q&A. Slide decks and presentation materials will be distributed to all registrants after the session.
