This year, the Incentivized Wellness Program, a voluntary program run through Virgin Pulse, ends on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017. Due to the expected high number of last-minute health screenings, employees who have not yet scheduled their screening are encouraged to do so soon as timeslots are filling up quickly. HEW will have a limited number of appointments available in September.
Completion of a health screening earns 20,000 points, which translates to $150 of wellness credits toward next year’s health insurance premiums.
The screening process this year is quick, easy and free. In approximately 10 to 15 minutes, HEW clinicians will check height, weight, waist measurement, blood pressure and pulse. The screening includes a fasting blood draw for lipids and hemoglobin A1c (diabetes risk test). Employees can also choose to have their own physician perform the screening.
