If you need a light bulb changed in your building, call the custodial foreman in your area to replace it. Many light bulbs require ladders and other special equipment to replace, and the custodial staff members are trained with this equipment and have the necessary personal protective equipment for the job.
Do not throw light bulbs away in general purpose garbage cans. Glass bulbs can break in the trash and could accidentally cut someone’s hand or finger. Light bulbs are considered special waste, and the custodial staff knows where they should be discarded. When light bulbs are thrown away incorrectly, it creates more work for the custodial staff.
To make a light bulb request, contact the custodial hotline at ext. 2-2706 or enter a custodial service request through Vector.
