The Illinois Science Council presents its second Chicago Science Festival, Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Merchandise Mart, 222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza, Suite 1212, Chicago.
The opening event on Friday, May 13, 2016, is “Systematic Serendipity: How to Engineer a Scientific Breakthrough” which features a keynote speech by Monika Bickert, Facebook’s Head of Global Policy. The free event is from 3:30-6 p.m. and includes a reception. Registration is required.
A series of talks will be featured on Saturday, May 14, 2016. All talks require registration/tickets. Individual talks are $10 each or $15 if purchased Saturday. Visitors can also purchase an All-Access Pass good for all the Saturday talks. All events take place in the Merchandise Mart, 12th floor, at the 1871 Tech Incubator and MATTER Chicago Healthcare Incubator.
