In celebration of Veterans Day, the Argonne Veterans Group will host a veterans fair, Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Building 213 Cafeteria.
The event will feature:
- Service representatives from the Veterans Benefits Administration who will be available to answer questions and provide information on benefits.
- Information on K9s for Veterans, an organization that works to help veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder transition back to civilian life once their military service has ended with the help of trained service dogs.
- Vouchers for a free lunch at the Bistro 213 Work Café will be given to any veterans who self identify. Vouchers will be valid until the end of November.
“Veterans Day is an opportunity to thank and honor all who have served in the United States Armed Forces whether in war or peace,” said Diana Morgan (STP), who co-leads the Argonne Veterans Group with Ed Schmitt (PSE). “Our group has chosen to do that by hosting this event to connect those who served with helpful resources and information.”
The Argonne Veterans Group is open to, and supports, veterans, family and friends of veterans, and veteran supporters. New members are welcome and encouraged to join. For more information, contact veterans@anl.gov.
