Box security update: Argonne username and password required

On Monday, May 23, 2016, Box, the secure cloud-based file storage system, will feature a new update designed to provide increased security and data protection.

Employees who log in to Box, Box Sync, Box Edit or Box for Office with an Argonne username and password will not notice any change.

Employees who log in using a local password will now be required to enter their Argonne user name and password.

Third party applications used with Box that do not support single sign-on (SSO) such as FTP or WebDAV, will still allow the local Box passwords.

Log in instructions are below. For assistance, contact the Service Desk at ext. 2-9999.

1. Go to https://anl.box.com.
2. At the “Part of Argonne National Laboratory” page, click “Continue.”
3. Enter your Argonne username and password, and click “Log In.”
