Health and Employee Wellness Director Jamie Stalker will be presented with the Energy Facility Contractors Group (EFCOG) Award of Excellence for her contributions this past year.

Stalker was nominated for the award by colleagues Stewart Curtis and Joseph Falco, who cited her dedicated work as chair of EFCOG’s Occupational Medicine Task Group. The award presentation will be held at the organization’s annual meeting, Wednesday, June 8, 2016, in Washington, D.C.

Stalker has served as chair of EFCOG’s Occupational Medicine Task Group for more than seven years. In this position, she has worked to organize and lead the physicians of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) site clinics. Stalker shared her nationally recognized wellness program and has led the physicians in efforts to assure good medical leadership at DOE headquarters. She has spearheaded complex-wide benchmarking efforts and established a powerful file share that is accessible to all DOE site physicians for the sharing of best practices, forms, useful references and benchmarking summaries. Stalker helped her colleagues to address health and safety issues related to beryllium; certification of security police officers; effective, compliant alcohol and substance abuse programs; and electronic health records.

Jamie Stalker is a board-certified internal medicine physician and also a certified medical review officer. Her alma maters include Indiana University, Rush Medical College and University of Michigan. In her role as director of Argonne’s Health and Employee Wellness Division, she works on expanding and improving the division’s services for the Argonne community to meet its specific well-being needs.
