Argonne’s new public website will launch Aug. 17, with improved, more intuitive navigation and an updated look that reflects the laboratory’s impact on science and technology.

The changes are much more than skin-deep and have been in development for more than a year by a large team of employees from Communications and Public Affairs, Business and Information Services and expert consulting firms. The enhancements improve stability and security by upgrading software and moving to the cloud. New navigation features on top-level pages make it easier to find information quickly. Additional integrated graphics, video and photos add visual appeal, and the site is now structured for easy updating and maintenance.

Argonne employees can take a sneak peek at the beta site now (access to Argonne network and login is required). Comments are welcome at webfeedback@anl.gov.

Update your personal profile

Profiles of our people on the web help promote the laboratory’s researchers, scientists and technologists as well as its impact. Whether you are an Argonne researcher, joint appointee, emeritus, postdoc or an executive leader, you can create a public-facing web profile for this purpose.

We have endeavored to copy all existing profiles from the current public website to the new one. Please review your profile on the beta site and update it as needed in preparation for the new site’s launch. If a search for your name does not turn up a profile, you may create one for the new website. Detailed instructions for creating or updating your profile can be found here.

Contact the Service Desk by email or at ext. 2-9999, option 2, if you need any assistance.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this significant transition.
