Over the years, the term “Work Planning and Control” became synonymous with the work planning and control application. As a result, many employees have lost sight of the very important end-to-end process that our lab’s science and safety relies upon.
As the Improving How We Work (IHWW) team moves forward with retooling our process, tools, training and communications, we’re reframing “Work Planning and Control” to mean more than the application. Going forward, “Work Planning and Control” will signify the process, including the value of the application that supports the work planning and control process.
Given that, the application deserves a new name that reflects its important role, and we want your help and creativity in naming it.
All interested employees are encouraged to submit suggestions to ihww@anl.gov by Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018. The IHWW team will select their top five favorites from the submissions.
Those top five will move on to the next phase of judging, when the Change Network, made up of over 200 of your co-workers, will vote for their favorite. The submission receiving the most votes will become the name of the upgraded work planning and control application.
Put your creative hat on and send in your ideas today to ihww@anl.gov
