Computing and Information Systems (CIS) will be performing maintenance on the infrastructure that supports all Argonne business systems and web applications on Saturday, June 25, 2016, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Key elements of the network infrastructure will be upgraded as part of the Network Lifecycle project. This upgrade will build enhanced redundancy into the core network to provide better network services, reduce risks of issues and reduce the network maintenance impact to the site in the future. Connections to core mission support services and internal networking across the site will be sporadic until work is complete.
Services that are NOT affected:
- Email services including personal, calendaring and lists
- Cloud services such as Box and Blue Jeans
- Web sites (www.anl.gov)
- Guest wireless
During the maintenance window, do not report issues to the Service Desk. For questions regarding the maintenance or if networking issues occur after the maintenance window, contact the Argonne Service Desk at ext. 2-9999 option 2.
