APSUO Arthur H. Compton Award: Nominations Due March 1
The Arthur H. Compton award was established in 1995 by the APS Users Organization (APSUO) to recognize an important scientific or technical accomplishment at the Advanced Photon Source. The award consists of a plaque and $2,500. Nominations for the Compton Award should be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Central Time on Friday, March 1, 2019, and include the following:
- A brief (one page or less) nomination statement including a description of the nominee’s work and a statement describing the significance and impact of the work. Please also provide the names and affiliations of the two individuals who will provide supporting letters.
- Two supporting letters (not including the nominator). These can be emailed directly to vanni@anl.gov from the individuals. They do not have to be co-submitted with the nomination statement.
The meeting will also highlight a large number of exhibiting companies of interest to the research community. The annual poster session will be held Tuesday, May 7, and is sure to offer great science and conversation with the scientists and staff that make up the user communities of the APS and CNM.
