Global Entry is a program developed by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to expedite entry into the United States for low-risk, pre-screened international travelers. Once approved, Global Entry is valid for five years and includes eligibility to participate in TSA PreCheck.
To enroll in the Global Entry Trusted Traveler Network, the traveler would complete an online application and pay a nonrefundable application fee of $100 per applicant. (These fees are not reimbursed by Argonne). Once the status of the traveler’s online profile has changed to “conditionally approved,” the traveler would normally need to schedule an interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center (the nearest is at O’Hare Airport). However, the GTO has arranged for U.S. Customs and Border Protections officers to schedule interviews onsite at Argonne instead of a Global Entry Enrollment Center.
Depending on the demand from Argonne employees, we can arrange for U.S. Customs and Border Protection to be onsite at Argonne for either one or two days, with the dates to be determined.
