According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 59 children has been identified with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). ASD, and related developmental disorders, can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges for those diagnosed. Employees who are parenting children on the spectrum face a special set of challenges that change as the child grows older.

Our panel includes employees who are raising children who are in different stages in their journey: newly diagnosed, navigating the school system, transitioning into adulthood. Please join us to hear from these employees as they share their stories and take questions from the audience. You will also receive information on an upcoming support group for “Parenting on the Spectrum.”

Panel members:

  • Stephanie D’Angelo (HEW)
  • Stuart Feinberg (WSH)
  • Andrew Jansen (CSE)
  • Jacque LeBreck (CPA)
  • Silvia Mulligan (CELS)
  • Kelly Hickey (guest panelist)
