Argonne employees are now able to take advantage of Canon’s uniFLOW enhanced printing features through their computers and mobile devices.

“One very practical advantage of the new platform,” explained Jim Dust, manager, Service Management and Support, Business and Information Systems, “is that users will be able to print documents from any of our 300 Canon fleet devices* on-site, even if they’re away from their building.” Other key benefits include secure printing, guest printing, reduction of waste, and increased printer flexibility.

To use the uniFLOW secure print feature, employees will need to register their proximity card (commonly used for building or room access) by using Canon’s uniFLOW ID Card Registration documentation. After registering their proximity card, employees will be able to submit print jobs to a single print queue that will be accessible from any Canon fleet printer.* For more information about features and services, including simple instructions on how to securely print and use other features provided by uniFLOW, see the Managed Printer Service page on Inside Argonne.

In support of the transition, a Canon representative will provide training at the laboratory on June 12 and June 19, 2019, in Building 240, Room 1416. All are invited to attend one of the following one-hour sessions.
