“The Excited State” science improv show takes the stage Thursday, July 11, 2019, at 8 p.m. at The Revival theater in Hyde Park. The performance takes audiences on an improvised journey of discovery through scientific history, breakthroughs, and common misconceptions. The troupe comprises some of Chicago’s most outgoing scientists from Argonne, Fermilab, the University of Chicago, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and elsewhere.
Each performance features a special guest from the scientific community. This month, “The Excited State” welcomes Argonne’s Marius Stan. Stan is the intelligent materials design lead in the Applied Materials division. He is also a senior fellow at the University of Chicago’s Computation Institute (CI) and a senior fellow of the Northwestern-Argonne Institute for Science and Engineering (NAISE).
Tickets are available online. There is also an event page on Facebook.
