The Postdoctoral Program Office will offer an interactive workshop, “Negotiation and Influential Power,” on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Building 241, Room D172.
Workshop participants will learn the basics of two different types of negotiation, develop their own understanding of a negotiation framework, and have an opportunity to practice negotiating via an interactive negotiation simulation. In this workshop, participants will:
- Understand the basic features of distributive and integrative negotiation
- Learn an effective negotiation framework applicable to the real world
- Experiment with power and influence by participating in a negotiation simulation

Facilitator
Joseph Bernstein, Ph.D., MBA, senior director of Financial and Grant Services at the University of Chicago, will facilitate the workshop. He is an Argonne postdoctoral alumnus, communicator, and past PSA leader. He recently earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
