Seth Darling, director of Argonne’s Center for Molecular Engineering as well as the Advanced Materials for Energy-Water Systems center, and Doug Sisterson, long-time Argonne meteorologist and current Argonne Associate, will be part of a panel discussion titled “Great Lakes, Great Issues: Our Changing Climate” on Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Gorton Community Center in Lake Forest, Ill.

The event, which is part of the Lake Forest Open Lands Lecture Series, will also feature Tom Skilling, chief meteorologist for WGN-TV, Don Wuebbles, a professor of atmospheric science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Mary Gade of the Gade Environmental Group LLC.

The panel will discuss the science and effects of a changing climate on society.

Participation by Argonne researchers in this type of event enhances Argonne’s leadership in science and technology, promotes potential collaboration with organizations whose efforts could be complementary to Argonne’s, and fosters increased impact from Argonne research.

Admission to the event is free, but registration is required. To register, visit the event webpage.
