Abstract
Argonne 2050 is an initiative to envision and evaluate possible long-term futures for Argonne National Laboratory. By thinking three decades ahead, the laboratory can lay the groundwork to solve problems beyond current trends, support new technologies and research as they emerge, and adapt to the most effective and rewarding ways for employees and collaborators to work together.
The entire lab community has been invited to contribute to the process through a series of directorate activities, collaborative cross-lab visioning sessions, an interactive blog with thought-provoking questions, and small group topical visioning sessions. Once a vision for the laboratory is solidified, concrete steps for achieving that vision will be developed. This presentation will provide an opportunity to learn about the process and status of the initiative, and will give members of the A3 community an opportunity to put forth their ideas for Argonne 2050.
