All science enthusiasts are invited to the Windy City Physics Slam on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, 301 East North Water Street, Chicago, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Part of the 2016 International Conference on High Energy Physics, the event is hosted by the University of Chicago, in partnership with Argonne and Fermilab, and features international physicists battling it out for the win. WGN Chief Meteorologist Tom Skilling will moderate this high-energy competition, as five particle physicists from around the world share the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy, shine a light on ghostly neutrinos and uncover the very structure of the universe.
