Starting Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, the Bldg. 213 Cafeteria parking lot will be closed for a complete renovation. This work will include the removal and replacement of all asphalt, new striping for pedestrian walkways, car and handicap parking, new overhead lighting and new adjacent walkways. Construction is expected to be completed by late September.
During this time, alternate parking will be available on the north end of the Bldg. 212 parking lot, as well as the east side of the Bldg. 202 parking lot. Signs throughout the construction and adjacent areas will indicate directions.
Handicap parking will be available on the north end of the Bldg. 212 parking lot, the east side of Bldg. 202 parking lot, the east end of Bldg. 213 adjacent to the loading docks and the immediate north end of Bldg. 201.
During construction, pedestrian traffic will be allowed on the south sidewalk of the Bldg. 213 parking lot for access to the Bldg. 213 Cafeteria and the Bldg. 233 Credit Union. The pedestrian sidewalk on the east side of the Bldg. 213 parking lot will also be available to pedestrians for access into Bldg. 201 and the adjacent Bldgs. 213 and 233.
For safety purposes, pedestrians are urged to pay attention to and honor all signs within the work area, which will designate alternate parking directions as well as pedestrian access to adjacent walkways and buildings. Please be patient and allow the contractors to do their job, which will result in a safer and more usable parking lot for lab employees.
