The 2016 Postdoctoral Research and Career Symposium will take place Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at the Bldg. 240 TCS Conference Center.
The symposium:
- Showcases postdoctoral research
- Highlights research directions and diverse career paths for postdocs
- Enables industry and government leaders to connect with the nation’s top scientific and engineering talent for current and future needs
This year’s keynote speaker is Christopher DellaCorte, senior technologist for tribology and rotating machinery at NASA’s Glenn Research Center. DellaCorte will talk about his research and career path and the “Effects of Serendipity on R&D.”
This year’s event features:
- Juried research poster session with awards for top poster presenters
- Presentation of Postdoctoral Performance awards
- Career panel discussions
- Networking lunch with representatives from industry
Registration and abstract submission are now open. Abstracts should be submitted by Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016. Attendee-only registration will remain open until Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016.
