Progress in the cleanup of the environmental legacy of the nation’s Manhattan Project and Cold War nuclear weapons program will be the focus of the 2016 National Cleanup Workshop Sept.14-15, 2016, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Va. The workshop will be livestreamed online for those individuals unable to attend in person.
The workshop brings together U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) officials, industry executives, state and local officials, and other stakeholders to discuss the DOE Office of Environmental Management’s (EM) progress during the past year, including EM successes; high-level waste cleanup; defense high-level waste disposal; and acquisition and contract management, and much more.
