A postdoctoral seminar with tips on how to optimize your poster space will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at noon in Bldg. 241, Room D172.
Topics include:
- Poster content — what to include, what to leave out
- Distilling your message
- Creating a visually appealing poster
- Presenting YOU at your poster
This seminar was developed by Postdoctoral Program Lead, Tina Henne, and graphic designer, Larisa Blyudaya. Actual posters designed for a variety of audiences and award-winning posters from past postdoctoral research and career symposia will be used to illustrate concepts. We will also share tips from notable “poster gurus.”
All Argonne employees are welcome to attend and bring their lunch if they like. Light refreshments will be provided. This session will be particularly useful for postdocs presenting at upcoming conferences and the Postdoctoral Research and Career Symposium on October 6.
The seminar will be facilitated by Tina Henne (ALI) postdoctoral program lead. Michele Nelson and Renee Carlson from CEPA Creative Services will be on hand to demonstrate how to access the CEPA Communications Toolkit.
