Since June 2016, when a Focal Point about valid property passes went out, Argonne Security has seen a decrease in individuals leaving the site without a valid pass. That’s great news. However, Protective Force officers are still finding some individuals trying to leave the site with government property without having a valid property pass to present.
Please be sure that you have a printed and fully approved property pass with each Argonne property item before you attempt to take it off site.
For your convenience, you can also take a picture of the fully approved property pass on your phone or tablet. This is sufficient to present to Protective Force officers when asked at the gates.
Please keep in mind that Argonne Protective Force conducts random outbound vehicle searches and will take possession of Argonne property if a valid property pass cannot be presented to the officer. The property will only be returned to its assigned custodian when a valid pass is presented to Argonne Security.
Employees can fill out and submit Property Pass (ANL-4) online or contact their division property representative for assistance.
