Fourteen Argonne employees have been honored with four awards of distinction for their submissions to the Society for Technical Communication (STC) Chicago Chapter competition. The society’s yearly competition recognizes excellence in creating and designing technical art and publications. The Society for Technical Communication is an individual membership organization dedicated to advancing the arts and sciences of technical communication.
The publications cover the full gamut of technical scientific publications to a wide variety of target audiences. Some of the groups that have received Argonne’s award-winning publications are the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science, executive management of Argonne, scientific investigators, the general public, universities, government agencies, private industry and other national laboratories.
The STC competition offers peer reviews and evaluations by experienced technical communicators and acknowledges those entries that go beyond the basic tenants of good technical communication. Distinguished and Excellence award entries are eligible for the STC International Summit Competition. All winners will be honored during the STC Chicago Chapter Recognition and Awards Banquet on March 16, 2017.
