A new call for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Energy I-Corps program will be issued at the end of April 2017. Technologies that fall within the following DOE Offices may be considered for Cohort 6:
- Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE)
- Office of Fossil Energy (FE)
- Office of Nuclear Energy (NE)
- Office of Science and Office of Environmental Management (EM)
Interested Argonne researchers should send a pre-submission entry by April 23 to Diego Fazi, Innovation Program Coordinator, with the following information:
- Name(s)
- Contact info
- Division
- Proposed project name
- Argonne invention number
Registration now open for the new Energy I-Corps LITE workshop
Are you interested in learning about technology commercialization but don’t have time to commit to the full Energy I-Corps program? Do you want to learn tools to make your research more impactful but don’t have a specific technology to commercialize?
The new Energy I-Corps LITE workshop covers all the topics and tools explored in the full Energy I-Corps program, but with a much less demanding time commitment and with no travel requirements.
The workshop’s six-session course starts Tuesday, May 16, 2017, in the Bldg. 213 Cafeteria Conference Room. Participants must commit to all six sessions.
IIT Professor Nik Rokop and Argonne Patent Attorney Peter Slawniak will lead the workshop.
Workshop schedule:
- Session 1: Tuesday, May 16, Noon – 1:30 p.m.
- Session 2: Tuesday, May 23, 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Session 3: Tuesday, May 30, Noon – 1:30 p.m.
- Session 4: Tuesday, June 6, Noon – 1:30 p.m.
- Session 5: Thursday, June 15, Noon – 1:30 p.m.
- Session 6: Tuesday, June 20, Noon – 1:30 p.m.
