The Argonne Research Library is celebrating National Library Week by highlighting a different database each day. The complete list of research databases in the library collection is available here.
SciFinder
SciFinder (Chemical Abstracts) provides scientists with the most comprehensive and authoritative source of references, substances and reactions in chemistry and related sciences. SciFinder offers a one-stop shop experience with flexible search and discover options based on user input and workflow. You can search for substances, reactions and patent and journal references anytime, anywhere.
Account access: To access SciFinder, scientists must register for an account using the SciFinder Registration (ANL-954). SciFinder accounts are only available to long-term employees who have been at the laboratory for at least one week. Unfortunately, accounts are not available to short term employees, such as summer students.
Did you know? SciFinder is one of the few databases that you can use offsite without logging in through VPN or DASH. You can log in with your SciFinder credentials directly at the SciFinder website.
