Lei Cheng
Assistant Chemist Lei Cheng (MSD) will participate in a panel discussion at the “Hidden Figures and Leading Women in Science” event Saturday, May 20, 2017, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Polsky Exchange North, 1452 E. 53rd St., 2nd Floor, Chicago.
Following a screening of the Academy Award nominated film Hidden Figures, Cheng and other women scientists will discuss the film, the contributions of women of color in science, and share their own experiences. Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring their families to this fun and educational event.
Part of the UChicago Innovation Fest, this free event is open to the public and is hosted by the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research, Innovation and National Laboratories, Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the University of Chicago Physical Sciences Division and the University of Chicago’s Office of Civic Engagement.
