Faculty members from the Northern Illinois University (NIU) College of Engineering and Engineering Technology will be visiting Argonne on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, to discuss research collaborations between Argonne and NIU. All Argonne employees are invited to attend a meeting in Building 203, Room D120 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Approximately 25 faculty members from the departments of electrical engineering, industrial and systems engineering, mechanical engineering and engineering technology will be presenting brief overviews of their work in a “speed dating” format. Likewise, a number of Argonne researchers will also be giving summaries of their work. The purpose of the meeting is to facilitate introductions between the two organizations that could lead to joint research and technology collaborations, opportunities for NIU faculty and students to come to Argonne, and for Argonne staff to support NIU programs.
The visit is being hosted by the Global Security Sciences Division. If you would like to participate and present a summary of your work to the group, contact John Hummel (GSS) at ext. 2-7189.
