In honor of former Associate Laboratory Director Harry Weerts’ recent retirement, a symposium and dinner is planned for Monday, April 9, 2018, at Argonne.
The event is intended to bring the scientific community together to celebrate Weerts’ distinguished career.
The symposium will begin at 1 p.m. and consist of a half-day of talks centering on the science that Weerts spent his research career advancing, from the early bubble chamber experiments at CERN, to the neutrino experiments at Fermilab, to the Dzero experiment at the Tevatron and the ILC.
The talks will be followed by a cocktail reception and dinner at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook, IL.
If you are interested in attending, please register by April 2, 2018.
