Over the last several weeks, the Improving How We Work (IHWW) project team launched the Change Champion Network. Members represent groups across the laboratory that will use the new Work Planning and Control process and tools now being developed. They will serve as communication liaisons and help to educate their peers about the upcoming changes.
IHWW is a top-priority project focused on improving the work planning and control process, and the Change Champion Network is vital to its success. The Change Champion Network’s 80 members come from many functions and organizational levels, comprising change leaders, change agents and members of the IHWW project team.
Change leaders include executive sponsors, assistant lab directors, division directors and chief operation officers. They are leaders charged with championing the project and providing guidance and support to all staff in implementing the enhanced Work Planning and Control process in their respective directorates and divisions.
Bi-weekly Change Network webinars are ongoing. During these sessions, Change Network members will take progressively deeper dives into the enhanced Work Planning and Control process and tools. Regular participation in these sessions will ensure that each Change Champion has the right information to begin engaging with their teammates about the changes now getting underway.
