The Argonne Hispanic Latino Club is hosting a tamale sale through Friday, Nov. 9, 2018. The tamales are traditional Mexican tamales filled with shredded pork or chicken with chili sauce, or cheese with sliced green chile poblano. All tamales are wrapped in a corn husk. Tamales are $12 per dozen and must be paid for at time of order.
The tamale pickup date is Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, in the Building 205 Library from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Tamales not picked up by 12:30 p.m. will be sold.
Churros will also be available for $1.50 each on pickup day.
All proceeds from the tamale sales go toward youth scholarships in the name of the Argonne Hispanic Latino Club. To date, more than $25,000 in scholarships have been distributed to Chicagoland area students who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.
