The Argonne Bike Share program is wrapping up its 10th season of operation and bikes are being collected and stored for the winter.The process should be completed by Friday, Nov. 2, 2018. It was a successful season which included the addition of tricycles and few maintenance issues.
The bikes provide a healthy and fun transportation option for employees to use on campus as an alternative to vehicles. Bikes are available early spring to late fall, weather permitting. Bike Share bikes may be used only by those who have completed the online training course: ESH561: Bicycle Safety. Non-DOE and non-Argonne employees must also submit a Non-Employee Bike Share Liability Waiver (ANL-877) prior to using these bikes. All cyclists must wear helmets while riding on the Argonne campus and follow Illinois Bicycle Rules of the Road.
