Well-implemented Work Planning and Control makes work safer and more efficient — and new workshops are available to ensure you know what must go right and what can potentially go wrong.
WPC303, “How to Plan and Execute Work,” is an interactive workshop using a team approach foster an engaging learning experience for operations or research audiences. Participants will follow a work control document (WCD) all the way through the planning, approval, authorization, work execution and feedback process.
Operations (WPC303OPS) and research (WPC303RES) versions of this workshop are available.
“I thought I was comfortable with the WPC process. After taking this class, I realize there is much more to it. I am glad I had this training and wish I had taken it months ago!” – Project Specialist
The operations-targeted class focuses on a Work Control Document being reviewed and approved by all the appropriate subject matter experts and users. The focus is on completing the job or work assigned.
The research-targeted class focuses on how work is approached from a researcher/scientific perspective and how it is easier to get out of scope when working in a research capacity, since there are many unknowns that may have to be addressed.
During the last hour of the training, an Aware expert will deliver the web application training (WPC403) to which you will be automatically registered. If Aware training is not relevant to your role, you may opt out of this portion of the training.
Responsible Individuals, work planners, approvers, authorizers, reviewers, and PICs or employees interested in these roles and functions should attend this workshop
