It’s important to be prepared for weather events including severe weather. Knowing what to look for can be a life-saving advantage.
Anthony Marzano, chief administrator for the Will County 911 Office and former Argonne deputy emergency management officer, will present a two-hour National Weather Service Basic Weather Spotter course on Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Building 362 Auditorium. Spotter training classes cover severe weather hazards including thunderstorms and tornadoes. This includes the general structure and movement of severe thunderstorms, identification of important storm features and safety concerns.
Pre-registration is not required. The course is open to all site occupants.
