Help spark the next generation at ‘Lunch with a Researcher’

Volunteers are needed for “Lunch with a Researcher” program, which gives Argonne scientists and engineers a chance to speak directly to a small group of undergraduate interns about potential career paths, scientific topics and valuable tips learned along the way.

The Manganese meeting space in the Building 213 Cafeteria will be reserved on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. this spring for the lunchtime sessions.

The students, hosted by Argonne’s Educational Programs, have indicated interest in learning more about cybersecurity, batteries, nanomaterials and nanotechnology, the Advanced Photon Source and the Upgrade project, ATLAS, additive manufacturing, catalysis, materials design, quantum computing and the creation of electrical components.

To volunteer for a lunch session with a group of undergraduate students, complete the volunteer form by noon on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019. Lunch is not included.
