Interested employees are invited to attend the Introduction to Cyber Analysis training course Monday, April 1, through Thursday, April 4, 2019, in Building 203, Room D120.

The course will provide a baseline of the concept of “cybersecurity,” a general overview of technical basics, an in-depth discussion of threats and tactics,  a review of the resources and expertise that are currently available to support fusion centers and a writing and analysis exercise. Students will come away from the class with a better understanding of the current threat environment, an enhanced ability to share cyber threat information, and a network of cyber experts with whom to share lessons learned, best practices and resources. While the course will provide technical basics on cyber threats, vulnerabilities, exploitation and investigative tactics, it will also focus on how to use and apply those tools and skills in the process of developing analytic products. By better understanding the technical basics associated with cyber issues, analysts will be better enabled to develop products and share information with their stakeholders, and discuss the potential impacts to or vulnerabilities within their respective area of responsibility.

The course is open to both technical and non-technical professionals. Participants should be be available all four days as each day builds on the previous day.

Employees are responsible for their time as there is no effort coverage for this course.

Registration is required.
