A reception to honor Jim and Terri Lang for their many years of service to the lab will be held Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at 3 p.m. in the Building 402 Lower Gallery. Appetizers and refreshments will be served.
Terri Lang started at Argonne in May 1978 as a chemical technician working for the Acid Rain Program. Over the years, she was a waste mechanic, a special materials representative, manager of Special Materials and Property and an MC&A coordinator. In 2015 she moved to Waste Management as a data management coordinator supporting waste services and the site-wide radiological material manager.
Jim Lang is retiring after 43 years at Argonne, including 26 years with the Accelerator Systems Division. As a health physics professional and as an ESH administrator, he played a key role in facilitating safe and effective technical operations and experimentation at numerous Argonne reactors, accelerators and hot cells. Lang is a nationally-recognized expert in the field of behavior-based safety.
