Argonne National Laboratory and the Energy Facility Contractors Group (EFCOG) are hosting the 2016 Nuclear and Facility Safety Workshop: Solutions in Nuclear Safety from August 6-12, 2016.
The EFCOG Engineering Practices Subgroup and members of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency will be joining the technical discussions at the workshop.
The 2016 Nuclear and Facility Safety Workshop is an essential forum for safety analysis professionals to share best practices, present lessons learned, provide key input for development of U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) standards, attend technical training for professional enhancement and qualification, collaborate on industry issues and gather experts to help identify and solve crucial DOE nuclear safety challenges.
A site tour will also be included in the workshop, exploring Argonne’s rich nuclear history from its origins at the Metallurgical Lab in 1942 to Argonne’s official founding in 1946, to today’s world-class research that focuses on solutions for some of the most important scientific and societal needs of our nation.
Register for the workshop and technical training.
