Argonne will host a Grid Day networking event on Monday, April 18, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bldg. 240 Conference Center, Room 1416. The meeting will bring together scientists and engineers from across the laboratory to discuss research that has applicability to the power grid. The grid is undergoing major changes with the integration of new technology, increased adoption of renewable energy and the growing strain of aging infrastructure. Solutions to these challenges require access to the type of scientific minds and resources only available at a national laboratory like Argonne.
Researchers already working on grid technologies and those interested in developing solutions to the challenge of the future grid are encouraged to attend. The event will feature presentations on the current state of grid research at Argonne, as well as chances for researchers to network with leaders from across the laboratory in informal sessions and develop new areas of inquiry.
We plan to have a working lunch to continue important discussions. Please bring your own lunch or plan to purchase a boxed lunch for $10 when registering online for the event.
